In a pre-trial detention center, Aliya Galitskaya — the ex-wife of former Alfa-Bank board member Alexander Galitsky — took her own life. She had been detained the day before on suspicion of extorting money from her former husband. This information was confirmed by human rights activist and member of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights Eva Merkacheva, as well as by the publication RBC, citing their sources.
