On August 14, Ukrainian authorities organized the evacuation of approximately seven thousand people from frontline areas in the Donetsk region. As an informed source who participated in a meeting of the regional administration told *Nova-Europa*, the most critical situation is in Dobropillia, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, and Druzhkivka.
In these settlements, main transport routes and checkpoints have been equipped with protective netting against drones. In Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk, which remain under Ukrainian Armed Forces control, the civilian population is virtually absent, and most public institutions have ceased operations.
The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin, announced the forced evacuation of families with children from Druzhkivka, as well as the villages of Andriivka, Varvarivka, Novoandriivka, and Rohanske. According to his data, 1,879 children lived in these settlements. On the same day, the last commuter train connecting Druzhkivka with Kramatorsk and Sloviansk was canceled.
Earlier, Ukrainian authorities began evacuating residents of Dobropillia and nearby villages.
