Roskomnadzor has added three songs by rapper Guf to the list of banned materials. This was announced by Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the "Safe Internet League," citing data from the agency.
As discovered by SOTAvision, the tracks "Kto kak igraet" ("Who Plays How"), "Tri niti" ("Three Threads"), and "Novosti" ("News") from Guf's debut album titled "Gorod dorog" ("City of Roads") are no longer available on Russian music platforms.
According to information provided by Roskomnadzor to Mizulina, the songs were blocked due to "propaganda of narcotic substances." The head of the "Safe Internet League" added that she had previously sent a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs to review the tracks from this album.
Earlier, Chelyabinsk businessman Igor Rybakov expressed interest in acquiring the rights to the album "Gorod dorog" to erase it. He explained that in his youth, he listened to these songs, "partied a lot, drank, and essentially ruined his life." The entrepreneur stated his intention to remove the album so that "young people wouldn’t repeat his mistakes."
However, the rights holder of the album, Anton Pronin, head of the label "Monolit Records," refused to make a deal with Rybakov since the latter planned to destroy the release.
In early August, Roskomnadzor blocked access to the collaborative track "Tem, kto s nami" ("To Those Who Are With Us") by AK-47, Noggano (also known as Basta), and Guf due to "references to narcotic and psychotropic substances."
